Do I have to pay UpTrek a commission?

There is absolutely no fee to lead a retreat with UpTrek. In fact, you will earn a fee.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No.

Do I have to advertise the retreat?

Yes, the advertising of the retreat falls under the instructor’s responsibility, since we believe that you will get the best retreat experience if you engage with your audience directly. UpTrek supports you with retreat organization and coordination, customer support, payment processing, and other logistics matters. Once you start working with us, we will offer you a useful marketing package, containing some guidelines, ideas, and tips & tricks, to help you in your promotional and marketing efforts.

What does it mean for a retreat to be guaranteed?

Once listed, your retreat is reserved at no charge. The retreat becomes guaranteed when all the spots have been filled.

What happens if I can't fill in all the spots?

If the retreat does not meet reservation expectations, we will revisit the listing together with the artist and take a decision to either re-promote or cancel.

How and when do I get paid?

After your retreat becomes guaranteed and fully charged, you will receive a 30% upfront of your earnings within 7 business days. The remaining balance will be paid within 7 business days from the end of the retreat.

Can I set my earnings?

Yes, you are free to set your own earnings, and guest prices will be calculated accordingly.

How long does it take until my application to lead the retreat is reviewed?

It can take up to three weeks for UpTrek to review your application and get back to you. We review all applications and you will receive a response in due time.

Will the retreat be available for the rest of the world?

This is up to you. The retreat can be exclusive for a closed group or open to applicants from all over the world.

Are there any requirements the classes I teach must meet?

You are in charge of the structure of your classes and workshops, and we can provide guidance where necessary.

Who will handle the inquiries and bookings?

UpTrek collects all inquiries and handles bookings through its booking platform.

Will guests receive a full refund if the retreat is not guaranteed?

UpTrek does not charge the payment method we collect until the retreat becomes guaranteed.

What is included in the retreat and for whom?

All the inclusions in the Overview page apply to guests, as well as the instructor. Additional special requests may be accommodated if discussed well in advance.

Are my travel expenses included?

Airfare costs are not covered by UpTrek, but ground transportation can be included.
