Fenced by olive groves and the picturesque views of the Tuscan countryside, villa “Borgo Il Ducato” is tastefully decorated and equipped with single and double rooms with ensuite or shared bathrooms.

The painting vacation takes place at "Borgo Il Ducato", a picturesque and veritable Italian villa surrounded by olive groves, located in the commune of Farnese, Latium, Italy.

Artist Jill Nichols is a Journalism and Fine Art graduate and her paintings are part of important collections all over the world, including Vatican Observatory Museum and Yale Medical Center. Jill’s paintings express concepts of time, space and mathematics under the form of quick observational or elaborate compositions. Jill will lead the painting sessions and workshops, and will boost your expression confidence.

What should I pack?
Please make sure you pack light and bring comfortable clothes, a sweater, shoes or sandals. You might also want to come prepared with a sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent and an apron. Guests are responsible for bringing their own art supplies. Please bring (as much as travel plans allow) your own specialist materials, including oil, watercolor or pastel paint, sketchbook, brushes, towels, gloves and palette. A complete list with the needed materials will be provided upon booking.
Is any equipment provided?
You will be provided with: easel, canvas, non-toxic lavender spike oil essence and brush cleaner. A variety of white and grey oil paints will be at your disposal to experiment with temperatures and value shifts.

July is a hot month with average temperatures of 30°C / 86°F during the day and 17°C / 63°F during the night.
How many people are to be expected in a group painting session?
There is a maximum number of 8 participants.
Do I need a visa?
Guests traveling from EU and/or Schengen member states may enter Italy for tourist purposes without a visa. Please contact us for further guidance.
Are there any age restrictions?
Absolutely not. However, please keep in mind that you must be 18 years of age to travel independently.
What language is used during the painting classes and other activities?
The entire experience is available in English.
