Manolo Jiménez Sánchez
Painter

Manolo will share with you the principles of his self-coined method 'Conquistalacuarela'. At first, he will identify the common concerns of the participants, conduct exercises based on those individual concerns while giving understandable theoretical explanations to expedite those concerns in his easy-going approach.

Manolo has created a customizable set of exercises designed to help his students summarize, simplify, and achieve an extraordinary learning speed. He will teach you the appropriate mental mechanisms used to control watercolor with ease and help you imprint your own personal stamp upon all your paintings. Manolo will be your watercolor painting instructor during the watercolor painting vacation, May 12 - 19, 2019.

Michal Jasiewicz
Watercolorist

Considered one of today's best watercolorists, Michal Jasiewicz is an architect born in Nowy Sacz, Poland. Elements of architecture are often depicted in his works. However, they are never represented directly, but rather part of a broader cultural landscape. "It’s difficult to define my technique. It keeps changing, depending on the motif, momentary mood, accident. I constantly try to look for new ways and experiment. It must be fun! Painting brings me joy, which hates boredom and working within the framework of the skills I have learned. Watercolor as a technique is a bit unpredictable; you need to give it autonomy and let it do half of the work for us. You can’t try to control each detail, as it kills the greatest merit of watercolor – spontaneity and freshness," Michal Jasiewicz said.

During the 'Watercolors in a Valencian autumn' painting vacation, tutor Michal Jasiewicz will show you how to capture landscapes differently. You will enrich your technique with new perspectives on color, movement, and paint application, explore a variety of techniques and different forms of working, and paint en plein air on location and within the studio environment. Michal will be your watercolor painting instructor during the watercolor painting vacation held on October 18 - 25, 2019.

Chris, UK:

"Lovely place, great accommodation, great large studio and great art teachers but above all, great people. They work very hard to ensure you have a great holiday experience. Highly recommended!"

Barry, UK:

"This week was with the talented Les Darlow. In summary the one thing I have taken away this week, ignoring the exceptional hosts, the exceptional facilities both in art and living quarters, and views, is the indelible process of producing good art. Line - Value - Colour = a good painting. From beginner to master artist, there will always be something new to discover. Thank you Loli, Harold, Les and supporting staff, Karen for a lovely time."

Jean, US:

"Great art holiday. Professional tutor, amazing hosts who make you feel at home, flexible schedule (I like a siesta), wonderful rooms, food and views."
