When is the art retreat available?

The retreat will take place between May 9 – 16, 2026.

How do I get to the retreat venue?

Please plan to arrive at Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS). The retreat venue is located approximately 1.5 hours’ drive from the airport. We advise allowing extra time for long-distance international travel. Arriving in France one day before the retreat begins helps avoid issues due to delays, allows for rest after the journey, and makes it easier to adjust to the time zone. Roundtrip airport transfers from/to Toulouse-Blagnac Airport (TLS) at prearranged times are included. For more information, see the Location tab. Are there any check-in and check-out hours?

Please plan to arrive at the venue after 4:30 PM on May 9, 2026. Check-out is after breakfast at 10:00 AM on May 16, 2026.

What art supplies do I need for the art classes?

A detailed list of art materials recommended by Urban Anna will be provided five months before the retreat begins. Fresh flowers for reference will be available at the venue.

What’s the weather like in Lot-et-Garonne, France, in mid-May?

The weather in this part of France in mid-May is typically mild and pleasant. Expect average daytime highs of around 22°C / 72°F and nighttime lows of approximately 11°C / 52°F. Please check the weather forecast a week before travel and pack accordingly, as temperatures may vary.

What should I pack?

Pack comfortable clothing for both warm and cooler weather, a swimsuit, sunscreen, insect repellent, sturdy shoes, a light jacket or sweater for the evenings, a raincoat, a reusable water bottle, personal toiletries, and any medications you may need.

Can I do laundry while on the retreat?

Yes. Laundry facilities are available and may be used free of charge during your stay.

I am vegetarian/vegan. Can I book this retreat?

All dietary preferences are accommodated if communicated in advance. Please note that we are unable to cater to severe, life-threatening allergies.

Is WiFi available?

Yes.

How many people are to be expected on the art retreat?

A maximum of 16 participants.

Do I need a visa?

Visitors from the US, Canada, EU, UK, and Schengen countries can enter France for tourism without a visa. If this policy changes, we will notify participants accordingly. For further questions, feel free to contact us.

Are there any age restrictions?

There are no specific age restrictions. However, participants must be at least 18 years old to travel independently.

What language is used during the art classes and other activities?

All instruction and activities will be conducted in English.

Is the retreat available to guests with limited mobility?

Unfortunately, the venue and scheduled day trips are not suitable for guests with limited mobility. Activities involve walking on uneven terrain and cobbled streets. The accommodations, studio, and meal spaces also require walking short distances outdoors.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

No. Once the retreat reaches the minimum number of participants required, your payment method will be charged. You will receive a notification 48 hours before any charge is made.

Will I receive a full refund if the retreat is not guaranteed?

Yes. Your payment method will only be charged once the retreat is confirmed. If the retreat is not guaranteed, you will not be charged.

Will I receive a full refund if the guaranteed retreat is canceled by the artist or by UpTrek?

If the retreat is canceled due to force majeure or circumstances beyond the control of the artist or UpTrek, you will be refunded the total cost and offered assistance in choosing an alternative retreat.

What happens if I need to cancel?

All bookings are nonrefundable. Once your payment is processed, it is considered final. No exceptions will be made.

We require all participants to purchase travel, medical, and cancellation insurance to protect against unexpected events that could require cancellation or changes to your travel plans. Insurance should cover costs resulting from cancellation, no-show, medical emergencies, or travel disruptions. We do not partner with insurance providers, so it is your responsibility to select coverage that meets your needs. Be sure to review your provider’s terms and conditions carefully.

We will provide any documentation you may need to support claims with your insurance provider.
