### Day 1: Arrival
Get transferred from Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR), at 4:00 PM and arrive at the venue by 5:00 PM. After settling into your spacious room, join Flora Bowley and your fellow artists for an introductory tour. Discover the estate’s inviting apartments, well-equipped studio, tranquil pool, and beautiful gardens, all surrounded by picturesque vineyards and olive groves. Conclude your first evening with a delicious meal crafted by the estate’s private chef, paired with local wine, as you discuss the exciting plans for the week ahead.

### Day 2: Art at the venue
Start your morning with a nourishing breakfast, then prepare for a day of grounding, connection, and creative freedom. During your first gathering, you’ll experience Flora’s soulful welcome ceremony, where you'll make meaningful connections, set intentions for the week ahead, and learn more about Flora’s philosophy and approach. You’ll connect to your body with gentle movement and arrive more fully into your surroundings through an “awe walk.” End the morning with a playful group collaboration. Take a well-deserved lunch break, followed by an afternoon of free-flowing color and mixed-media art explorations. Guided by Flora’s innovative prompts, you’ll try out expressive mark-making techniques and other playful ways to let go. In an intimate and supportive environment, there is no pressure to “do it right.” Simply show up and explore in a judgment-free zone.Later in the day, there’s time to unwind and connect with fellow artists during a wine-tasting experience hosted at the venue. Begin with a guided tour of the vineyards and wine cellars, followed by a tasting of four wine varieties. The day concludes with a delicious chef-prepared dinner, giving you the chance to reflect on your progress and look forward to what’s ahead.

### Day 3: Trip to a traditional oil mill
Enjoy a hearty breakfast and embark on a half-day trip to Frantoio Pasquini, a family-run olive oil mill founded in 1920. Located in the scenic countryside of Reggello, Tuscany, the mill is just a 10-minute drive away through rolling hills and olive groves.When you arrive at Frantoio Pasquini Mill, you’ll get to explore its rich blend of traditional and modern oil-making techniques. The tour takes you through the olive groves, offers a behind-the-scenes look at the production process, and shares the family’s four-generation legacy in olive oil craftsmanship. You’ll also have the chance to taste freshly made olive oil at their eno-oleoteca, accompanied by Tuscan specialties such as their flavorful olive pastes.Returning to the venue for lunch, you’ll refuel before heading back to the studio for an inspiring afternoon session. Sketches and photographs become doorways into intuitive artwork, guided not just by what was seen but by what was felt. Through color and form, give shape to the impressions that linger, perhaps a sense of stillness, awe, nostalgia, or quiet joy. Kick off your day with a nutritious breakfast and a relaxed coffee chat before joining Flora and your fellow artists in the studio. Start today's adventure with a heartfelt session, weaving together gentle movement, transformational breathwork, personal sharing, and integrative drawing practices. This gathering offers space to tune inward, awaken the body, and align creative energy with presence.A midday meal offers a chance to pause and replenish before moving into an expressive afternoon session of eyes-closed painting, music, and embodied movement. ### Day 5: Trip to Siena
*Each day, Flora will encourage you to carve out at least 15 minutes for a personal morning practice of drawing and writing… a powerful practice you can take home with you!Begin your day with a hearty breakfast before setting off to Siena, one of Tuscany’s most iconic medieval towns. You'll reach your destination after a scenic 1 hour and 15 minute drive through the sprawling countryside.Once in Siena, you'll have plenty of time to explore the town's storied past with the help of a local guide. Visit the Siena Cathedral (Duomo di Siena), a stunning example of Italian Romanesque-Gothic architecture, and the Piccolomini Library (home to works by Donatello, Michelangelo, and Bernini). The tour ends at the iconic Piazza del Campo, with its unique shell shape and the towering Torre del Mangia. You will have the opportunity to paint, sketch, or take reference photos on location.Pause for a coffee in one of the cozy piazza cafés or enjoy lunch on your own at a local trattoria, savoring authentic Tuscan flavors. Wander Siena’s narrow streets, lined with artisan shops and medieval buildings, or visit the Facciatone, one of the most beautiful viewpoints in Siena. There’s always something around the corner in this UNESCO World Heritage city.Board the shuttle for the ride back to the venue, arriving in time for dinner.

Following a refreshing breakfast, take some time to draw and write in your journal, then head into the studio for a focused painting session.Flora will continue to offer demonstrations, new techniques, guided movement, and one-on-one support as you honor your intuitive impulses and experiment with rich layering techniques using collage paper, pens, and oil pastels. There will be some fun surprises in the studio today!Take a break for lunch, then return to your painting with fresh energy. You’ll explore expressive mark-making, mixing color, working with contrast, and incorporating translucent layers. Experience the magic of changing directions and stepping out of your comfort zone, and watch as your work takes on unexpected twists and turns. At this point in the retreat, you’ll be filled to the brim with new techniques and inspiration, and you probably won’t want to stop painting!As the day winds down, spend some time connecting with your fellow artists, reflecting on your progress, or simply relaxing by the pool. Dinner will be a delightful moment to celebrate your creative achievements, paired with a glass of local wine.

### Day 7: Art at the venue
Your final day of classes begins with a delicious breakfast and a relaxed check-in with Flora and the hosts.Dive right back into a final day of creative play, beginning with relaxed group exercises. Today is about freeing up even more, letting go of any lingering inner critic, and doing it your way. You’ll have a variety of pieces in progress at this point and so many possibilities! You’ll also have the opportunity to craft a personal Art of Aliveness affirmation deck as a tangible keepsake full of your takeaways and memories.Following lunch, you’ll experience a beautiful afternoon of connection and completion. This retreat will open new doors and show you what’s possible in your art and in your life, so it’s important to take time to integrate the experience. Flora will offer guidance on integration practices and how to keep your creative spark burning back home. She will also guide you on a spirited visualization to imagine what your most creatively alive life might look like. There will be time to honor the artwork, give appreciation, and celebrate a courageous week of creating and connecting.As the retreat comes to a close, gather with your fellow artists for a farewell dinner. This final meal, paired with a glass of local wine, is a chance to toast the friendships made, the inspiration found, and the artistic strides you’ve taken during your time in Tuscany.
