Through workshops and group discussions, you’ll learn how to infuse your art with business so you can earn a living through your creativity.Cat and Logan have a cumulative ten years of experience in running successful creative businesses. Together, they’ll teach you how to reach your full potential.Connect with fellow creatives as we share our combined knowledge and experiences while sipping Spanish wines and allow the breathtaking landscape to inspire our artwork. ### Day 1: Arrival Get transferred from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Nature Retreat.Meet Cat Coquillette, Logan Elliott, and your fellow retreat participants and discuss the week ahead, while enjoying a three-course dinner served with local wine. ### Day 2: Workshops and art classes We’ll begin the day with a group check-in and discussion of our week’s plans and goals. Afterwards, we’ll jump right into painting. After lunch, we will kick off our first workshop, which explores opportunities to make a living as an artist. Cat and Logan will share their own journeys into creating their own thriving businesses, including a Q&A for Logan and Cat to chat candidly about their experiences as artists and business owners. It will be a relaxed day, getting to know one another and settling in. ### Day 3: Painting in Setenil After the morning check-in and masterminds session, we will travel to Setenil de las Bodegas, one of the most unique white villages in the South of Spain. Named after its flourishing wineries - bodegas - Setenil grew out of a network of caves in the cliffs above the Trejo river northwest of Ronda. Its striking white houses seem to emerge from the rocks, and some have rock roofs and even olive groves on their roofs. Many of the town's original cave-houses remain, some converted into bars and restaurants.We will enjoy a wine tasting with tapas around lunch and return to the retreat venue to resume our art classes.Upon returning to Nature Retreat in the late afternoon, Logan will lead a workshop on how to price artwork. ### Day 4: El Gastor and workshop Following the morning check-in and masterminds session, we will hike to the nearby village of El Gastor. On the 30-minute hike to this charming white village, we will be accompanied by a guide who will share knowledge about the Natural Park and pueblos blancos in the area. El Gastor affords magnificent views of all the other charming white villages in the area and the surrounding countryside, hence it is also known as the "Balcony of the Andalucían White Villages". Get inspired by breathtaking panoramic views. Discover mysterious prehistoric dolmens and walk around El Gastor's enchanting cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses.Return to the retreat venue in time for lunch, then jump into an open-panel discussion on contracts and negotiating terms. ### Day 5: Workshops and art classes Morning check-in + masterminds. We will explore the surrounding countryside to sketch and paint from the landscape. Afternoon workshop: Finding your audience, becoming approachable, and getting noticed with strategic marketing. ### Day 6: Zahara de la Sierra After the morning check-in and masterminds session, we will embark on a trip to the white village of Zahara de la Sierra, sashaying up a vertiginous crag to a castle-topped peak in the Sierra de Grazalema Natural Park northern reaches. We will walk around Zahara's winding streets lined with tall palm trees and pink bougainvillea and visit the authentic olive oil factory and enjoy an olive oil and cheese tasting.Upon returning to the retreat venue we will enjoy lunch together. During happy hour, we will discuss the biggest challenges we’ve faced as artists and what we’ve learned from those experiences. Logan and Cat will share their best advice for beginner entrepreneurs who want to get started in this industry, including our biggest wins and failures. ### Day 7: Workshops and art classes Morning check-in + masterminds. Afternoon workshop: Starting a business checklist, led by Logan.
