Spend the day getting familiar with the estate, enjoy a special welcome dinner where you'll meet Ohn Mar and Victoria and your fellow guests. Start to get to know one another over delicious food and a glass of wine. Discuss the exciting week ahead. ### Day 2: Painting at Oliveto Estate Spend the morning being introduced to mixed media painting.Enjoy leafing through samples of Victoria and Ohn Mar’s work, discussing different techniques and how to combine them, andhow to draw inspiration from your surroundings then adapt it to your own style and approach.Learn more about each step of the creative process you’ll be following:Exploring exciting techniques and materialsChoosing your subject matterBuilding your own still-life set upCreating an original mixed-media still-lifeStart exploring with your first warm-up exercise using resist techniques, focusing on texture and pattern.If you want to explore the surroundings later in the day, the estate is a pleasant 20-minute walk to the center of Civitanova Alta,an ancient village dating back to the 13th century. ### Day 3: Trip to Ascoli Piceno Travel to the scenic town dating back to Roman times and visit 9th century BC ancient monuments, Porta Gemina, Piazza delPopolo, Piazza Arringo and Ascoli Piceno Cathedral and break for lunch, then continue exploring Ascoli Piceno and gettransferred back to Oliveto Estate in time for dinner.Take time to look at local inspiration - visit fruit and flower vendors, discuss the vibrant colors and interesting forms and selecta few samples to take back to the estate. ### Day 4: Painting at Oliveto Estate Spend the morning exploring watercolor. Discover the magic of this versatile and forgiving medium and learn to embrace thehappy accident.Spend the afternoon building on your watercolor explorations with the additional dimension of collage, focusing on paintedtextures and layered transparency. ### Day 5: Trip to Conero Coast Visit the hilltop Sirolo village with its narrow streets, stone arches, and small piazzas with scenic views of the sea and coast.Take a break for a typical Marchigiana lunch at a local restaurant, then head to Numana beach. In the afternoon, you will betransferred to Loreto. Explore Piazza della Madonna and its Basilica della Santa Casa before getting transferred back to theretreat venue in time for dinner.Look out for natural treasures to take back to the estate. Shells, driftwood, sprigs and leaves will be perfect additions to yourstill-life setups. ### Day 6: Painting at Oliveto Estate Start the morning by creating your still-life setups from a selection of local fruits, flowers and any treasures you found along theway. Be adventurous or traditional and have fun playing with color combinations and composition.Spend the rest of the day using the techniques you've learned to interpret your setup. Paint what you see or extract theelements and create something abstract.
