Meet your instructor Linda in the studio for a short introductory discussion. Take a lunch break followed by delicious tea and biscuits served in the studio before your first painting session.
Spend the first part of the day on a trip to Porlock Weir harbor and get inspired for the afternoon's studio painting session.

Explore north Devon and visit Lynmouth village, the scenic Valley of the Rocks and Watersmeet House, a former fishing lodge hidden in the quietness of the woods. Return to the studio for a delightful break with tea and biscuits. Take a village tour after dinner.
Depending on the weather, you will enjoy a trip to Williton railway station and then visit Rivers Paper Mill. In the afternoon, you will return in the studio for a painting session.
Spend your morning wandering through the cottages of Selworthy. Afterwards, return in the studio for the final touches and an exhibition comprising of the artworks made throughout the retreat.
After breakfast, say farewell to your tutor and painting retreat fellows and check out by 11:00 a.m.
Your accommodation throughout the painting vacation in medieval Dunster will be provided at Yarn Market Hotel, a three-star hotel equipped with 28 ensuite bedrooms.
Throughout your painting retreat in the picturesque English countryside, you will indulge in tasty and abundant meals prepared with locally-sourced and fresh ingredients only. During the trips you will receive an allowance for lunch.

Professional artist Lynda Appleby will be your tutor throughout the retreat and will teach you how to add essence and meaning to your paintings. Lynda’s passions and artistic domains are shared among illustration, architectural portraiture, powerful acrylic paintings and lively watercolor portraits. Lynda’s artworks are highly appreciated, prize winners or displayed in numerous galleries.

What should I pack?
Please make sure to bring comfortable and warm clothing and shoes, sunscreen, a hat, insect repellent and fleece clothes to keep you warm during the evenings. Guests are responsible for bringing their own art supplies. Please bring your own paints and palettes in your preferred medium, brushes, cartridge sketchbook, watercolor pencils, soft drawing pencils 3B, graphite sticks, tracedown paper, supports, easel, drawing board, scissors, tape, rubbers, rulers (as much as travel plans allow).
