“Each day was different and very enjoyable, educational and personally enriching. The transport and organization were perfect. The art teachers were professional, highly experienced, passionate and friendly. Using simple, clearly explained, step-by-step techniques, they taught us to see beautiful historic Dutch landscapes in a new light, with freshly opened eyes! Under their expert tuition, we were taking big steps and producing surprisingly good results. They always gave encouraging and inspiring feedback on our drawings and paintings. Each day there’s a real sense of achievement, crowned with great wining and dining in a lovely, unique restaurant, and warm conversation and laughter with the fellow travelers. What more do you want? I warmly recommend Karo Voyage to everyone who wants to develop as a landscape artist. Thanks for a wonderful experience!”
“The tour was very varied and extremely well organized. The Karo Voyage people really pay attention to all the little details. I found the day including a visit to the Zaans museum highly successful, with an overview of the industrial development of that part of the Netherlands. With those impressions on our retinas, we received a drawing workshop from Julia Hope, who knows how to motivate and inspire you. The creative days are concluded with delicious dinners, such as in the beautiful windmill (now a restaurant) De Jonge Dikkert. Thank you for this beautiful experience!”
‘I enjoyed the trip. The program was varied and fascinating. The teachers had a lot of knowledge and were able to convey this in an enthusiastic way. Besides that, I had a lot of fun, I also learned a lot. And, the meals were delicious!”
Sarah, The Netherlands:
“Are you passionate about art and creativity? Or have you always wanted to learn to paint or draw? If so, this organization is a must! You focus entirely on art and creative workshops, delicious food, tasty wines and friendly people. The teachers have a lot of experience and take personal account of you. Very nice atmosphere!”
“I enjoyed the Zaanse Schans, a beautiful historic location. You almost feel like a ‘Rembrandt’ when you start sketching the windmills and the beautiful landscape. I also found it special to discover a painting by my favorite painter, Monet, there.
The drawing workshop given by artist Julia Hope was a very educational experience. She is a very nice lady, who gives you so many tips, tricks and insights in a relaxed, fun way that you just want to go on for a couple more hours in the evening…My sincere compliments to the chefs, who were very considerate of my lactose intolerance. The beautiful dishes were adapted so that I lacked nothing and could eat everything. In short, this trip was actually a beautiful gift. Thanks again! I hope to experience such a trip again in the future. It’s the perfect combination, to experience so much under supervision and with a friendly group.
Everything is arranged for you, all you have to do is enjoy it!!!”
