# Veronica Fannin
*Botanical artist and illustrator, designer, and art instructor*

Veronica Fannin is a designer, illustrator, botanical artist, and creative arts specialist based in the rural Catskill Mountains of New York. Her work spans botanical illustration, hand lettering, branding, and children's book illustration, all united by a deep love for plants, animals, nature, and the magic found in everyday life. Inspired by medieval manuscripts, intricate patterns, and the wild forest she calls home, Veronica brings a warmth and playfulness to everything she creates.

She holds a BA in Humanities and Studio Art from New College of Florida and an MFA in Interior Design from Florida State University. She discovered botanical illustration through the work of Wendy Hollender, with whom she began collaborating in 2015, and has since become an instructor at Draw Botanical, where she has taught for many years. She is a member of the National Tropical Botanical Garden Florilegium of Artists, and her illustration portfolio spans plants, animals, and the beautiful overlap between them.

Beyond botanical art, Veronica is the author and illustrator of "A is for Asparagoose: A Plant + Animal ABC," a children's alphabet book celebrating wordplay, plants, and giggles. She has also created signage and visual art for the Hoot Music Festival and has done branding and design work for musicians and community organizations throughout the Hudson Valley. Her creative practice continues to evolve under her studio, Earth Art Magic, where she channels her love of earth, art, and the mystical into meaningful work.

Veronica's teaching is approachable, encouraging, and full of heart, reflecting her belief that botanical drawing is for everyone, and that looking closely at the natural world is its own kind of joy.
