# Stephanie Lee
*Abstract artist, author, metalsmith, and creativity mentor*

Stephanie Lee is a Southern Oregon–based abstract artist, author, metalsmith, and creativity mentor whose work blends plaster, encaustic medium, collage, and paper into luminous, textural pieces. For over 15 years, she has devoted herself to understanding the nuance of these materials, transforming humble, everyday supplies into layered works that invite viewers to honor their own complex stories while embracing who they're becoming.

Stephanie has taught thousands of artists worldwide through her online courses and in-person retreats, and is the creator of more than a dozen popular art courses and eBooks, including guidance on her signature "homesteader" metalsmithing style, sculptural plaster work, and her rule-bending approach to combining plaster, paint, and encaustic. She has taught on respected creative platforms including Jeanne Oliver Creative Network and Willa Wanders' Fodder School, and is the published author of "Semiprecious Salvage: Creating Found Art Jewelry and The Plaster Studio: Mixed-Media Techniques for Painting, Sculpting, and Embellishing."

Alongside her technical instruction, Stephanie has become known for the creative mentoring and coaching she offers artists navigating self-doubt, comparison, and creative block, helping them not just refine their craft but reconnect with their own creative voice.

Stephanie creates from her home studio in Southern Oregon, alongside her husband, a small farm of chickens and pigs, and a rotating cast of family nearby. A former florist of over a decade, her love of nature, texture, and organic form continues to shape her signature style. With this retreat, she brings her hands-on approach to encaustic and mixed media to a new setting, offering a space to slow down, experiment freely, and reconnect with your own creative process.
