# Sam Tschida
*Author and Writing Instructor*

Sam Tschida is a writer of rom-com mystery novels you read in one sitting and immediately text your friends about. Her books include "Siri, Who Am I?" (Quirk Books, 2021), an Indie Next Pick and Library Reads Pick named one of Cosmopolitan’s and POPSUGAR’s best new books of the year; "Errands and Espionage" (Forever/Hachette Book Group, 2024), now optioned for a film; "Undead and Unwed" (Quirk Books, 2025); and "Gabby Greene Knows Whodunit" (Forever/Hachette Book Group, 2026). Her writing is sharp, funny, deeply relatable, and packed with everywoman protagonists in over-their-heads situations, from an amnesiac piecing together her identity through Instagram to a divorced mom recruited as an undercover spy.

Sam holds a J.D. from the University of Minnesota Law School and spent the Great Recession doing contract document review at a Minneapolis law firm, which she describes as the push she needed to get out of the cubicle and into fiction. She started writing her first novel at a Starbucks while studying for the bar exam and has not looked back. She brings the same no-nonsense energy to her teaching, meeting writers wherever they are in their process and cutting through the noise around publishing with honesty and humor.

Sam is the founder of an online writing community that functions as part writing class, part co-writing group, part accountability system, and part support network for writers at every stage. Through this online community, she runs weekly classes, morning writing sessions, and guest appearances from established authors, guiding writers through craft, querying, self-publishing, and the broader publishing landscape. She is also a co-founder of ManuFixed, an editorial consulting company serving writers in the Twin Cities area. Her work and career have been featured in the Star Tribune, CanvasRebel Magazine, the "Skip to the Good Part" podcast, and more.
