Rod's journey into art began in his late 30s, sparked by the sketches of W J Turner and the Heidelberg School artists. This pivotal moment led him to explore oil painting, which resonated with his style and personality. He now specializes in seascapes and landscapes, drawing inspiration from the amazing vistas of the Sunshine Coast area.Rod's commitment to art extends beyond creation to teaching, marked by his involvement in TV shows like 'Plein Air Painting TV' and 'Yes You Can Paint TV.' Developing the Moore Method of Painting, Rod has guided over 95,000 students worldwide, combining online courses and workshops to make art accessible to beginners. His approach reflects a blend of traditional landscape painting and contemporary techniques, encouraging students to find their voice in art.
