# Mike Lowery
*Author and Children’s Book Illustrator*

Mike Lowery is an author and children’s book illustrator who has worked on dozens of books and other projects from greeting cards to food trucks. He’s also an avid sketchbook-keeper who has kept a daily sketchbook for more than 20 years. Lowery has worked with clients like Hallmark, Chronicle Books, Disney, Penguin, Scholastic, Highlights magazine, Random House, the New York Times, and many others. He was a professor at the Savannah College of Art and Design for 7 years and today travels to speak at schools, universities, and corporate events about keeping a sketchbook and working as an artist. Mike lives in Decatur, GA with his wife Katrin Wiehle and their two kids. He also likes to collect little weird bits of useless information that he illustrates in his sketchbook every day and posts on Instagram at @mikelowerystudio.
