*Mixed Media Artist*

Julie Sydenham is an Australia-based mixed media artist best known for her art studio, "House of Jules." Her pieces take many forms, from painting and drawing to ceramics and 3D works, all incorporating different elements from each other. Julie works primarily with pens, ink, and watercolor and creates wonderful and complex pieces based on natural forms.

Julie graduated from Australian Catholic University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education (Visual Arts) and worked as a high school teacher for 9 years. She founded her studio in the year 2000 and has since received multiple awards such as the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM), Inaugural Milton Ulladulla Business Woman of the Year, and Healthy Cities Illawarra, among others. Since 2004, she has also participated in over 30 art exhibitions.

With over three decades of teaching experience, Julie is an experienced art educator who guides artists through gentle encouragement and individual feedback, helping them find confidence in their style, areas of interest, visual language, and creative choices. She also regularly posts her creative process on her Facebook and Instagram pages.
