# Eunice Friend
*Multidisciplinary artist and art educator*

Eunice Friend is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist and tutor based in Northamptonshire, England. Surrounded by the countryside that continues to shape her work, she began her professional career creating pet portraits before expanding into a wide-ranging catalog spanning animals, wildlife, abstract work, and life studies. Today, her practice moves fluidly across watercolor, pastel, ink, resin, and mixed media, with each piece rooted in her connection to the natural world around her.

Alongside her own studio practice, Eunice is a dedicated educator who has built a diverse teaching offering for artists at every level. In 2021, she launched Watercolour Wednesday, a subscription-based online art school giving students around the world access to her tutorials and techniques. Beyond her online classes, she teaches through in-person workshops covering everything from watercolor florals to resin art and hosts immersive painting retreats in destinations like Tuscany and the Lake District, where artistry meets the tranquility of the surrounding landscape.

At the heart of Eunice's teaching is a genuine love of channeling creativity into something tangible and a deep fulfillment in watching her students grow. She finds her own greatest joy in pieces that evolve and improve year after year, a philosophy she brings into every class. The Berkeley Inn pub group commissioned her to create large-scale bespoke paintings for their pubs and hotels in Derbyshire, marking one of her proudest milestones.
