Andrea Gianchiglia is a visual artist and instructor based in Califon, New Jersey. She is best known for her animal portraits, her work exploring a range of subjects such as landscapes, still life, and the beauty of the natural world, often inspired by light, atmosphere, and meaningful moments. Working in a realistic style, Andrea’s artworks showcase her vision rooted in love, compassion, and respect for the bond between humans, animals, and nature.Having obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Illustration, with a minor in Art History, from Hartford Art School, Andrea has been teaching art for over 20 years. Her teaching approach has at its core the belief that everyone, regardless of where they are in their creative journey, deserves guidance that is supportive, fun, and inspiring. She has taught adults and teens at various institutions, such as The Visual Arts Center of New Jersey, The Center for Contemporary Art, and A Maker’s Circle. Andrea is also the founder of Create & Inspire, an online teaching platform where she offers step-by-step tutorials, classes, and a supportive community for artists of all levels. She has worked with students across the US and internationally, having led workshops both in person and online. She is also a member of the Society of Animal Artists, the Pastel Society of America, and the Pastel Society of New Jersey. As a mom of three, she understands how easy it is to put your creativity on the back burner.
