# Ana Falceta
*Textile and mixed-media artist*

Ana Falceta is a contemporary textile and mixed-media artist based in Waterdown, Ontario. She holds a BA in Textile Design from Sheridan College and works at the intersection of watercolor, ink and hand stitch, combining painting with techniques like embroidery, weaving and bookbinding to build texture and mark-making into her surfaces. Her abstract compositions draw inspiration from aerial and satellite imagery, and she has developed her own custom templates to make embroidery on paper more approachable, blending traditional craft with a contemporary visual language.

Ana shares her process and techniques with a large online community, and her work has been exhibited internationally and featured in Flow Magazine. She has taught bookbinding and mixed-media workshops for over a decade, and her retreats bring the same spirit of patience and hands-on exploration to a small group setting, guiding artists of every level through her layered approach to color, texture and stitch.
