# Amit Kapoor
*Watercolor Artist*

Amit Kapoor is a watercolor artist and instructor known internationally for his mastery of classical impressionism. Over the years, he's developed a signature style that plays with light and shadows, aiming to capture the mood and atmosphere of a scene, rather than precise details.

Graduating from the New Delhi College of Art with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts and fine-tuning his skills through a Master's Degree in Arts from Jiwaji University, Amit became an empathetic teacher who helps students find their style through bold brushstrokes and confident color choices.

Throughout his career as an artist, Amit became the principal and co-founder of Anitoons The School of Art and Animation, founder of the Watercolour Society of India (WSI), and Vice President of the International Watercolor Society (IWS) and has won numerous awards, such as the Silver Star Award from the National Watercolor Society (NWS), the First Award at the International Watercolor Festival in the city landscape category, the Golden Brush Award from the Gaziantep Watercolor Festival, and more.

As an experienced artist who has traveled and held workshops all around the world, Amit brings a global, generous teaching style, sharing his techniques and insights through guided feedback and in-depth, detailed demonstrations. His goal is to help students channel the atmosphere and mood of a given place, be it outdoors or in the studio.
